Alexandra Antolino, creator of Calypso Collective, initially reached out to me as a recent college graduate, who has taken her extra time this year to explore her passion for art and design! Having just rounded a year since graduation myself, I connected with this because Miss All Over the Place was born out of that newfound freedom as well! (check out the origins story here)
Calypso Collective is a fun line of affordable statement jewelry that stands out from the crowd. Inspiration is found from the different places Alexandra’s visited, which I love as a fellow adventurer!
This first look was inspired entirely by the La Jolla necklace on rosary chain and Charlotte stack bracelets! I love these together because there are a few gunmetal bead strewn into the stack, which coordinates well with the necklace! I’ve never been one to be too matchy when it comes to accessories (except for my Hollister bird/tank top matching years…) so these pieces fit perfectly to my taste! Even better yet, they offer the chunky statement I love without weighing me down. They’re super light and easy to wear all day (or night)!
Although I don’t like to play favorites, I have to admit the La Jolla necklace quickly became a go-to statement piece for me. I can’t get over how unique and chic it is! It’s inspiration comes from the beachy and native style of the San Diego neighborhood it’s named after. Calypso Collective has been generous enough to host a giveaway for this item, so make sure to check out the details and enter here!
I’ve been so for the choker’s return to trend, and am still swooning over this piece! The Denver choker has such a laid back feel and adds the perfect accent too this look. I love it’s intentional unfinished look, with small denim frays on either side. It’s also super comfortable, which is a huge plus for me!
I can’t forget to include that on top of everything, Calypso Collective also accepts custom orders! How awesome right!? You’ll notice on their website that this option is available to create jewelry unique to you! If that wasn’t enough, they offer free repairs for their items, which is such a nice perk for their customers.
I’ve had so much fun teaming up with Calypso Collective to feature these pieces! I think they so perfectly tell the story of locations around the United States, and highlight beautifully the features of the women who wear them. So excited to see what else this brand creates!
A huge thank you to Alexandra for being such a doll to work with, collaborating with you has been a blast! Don’t forget to enter the Instagram giveaway (for the La Jolla necklace above!) before Monday, November 21 11:59pm EST! Details about entering can be found here! xo
