Okay so I need to fill you guys in on this OOTD’s back story. At the beginning of this month, my best friend Rachel (All Things Blush) came to New York with Madi Bickham for fashion week! We ended up shopping in SoHo, and Rachel came upon this ADORABLE two-piece set. After she started questioning the purchase, I knew I had to try it on… and needless to say, we both ended up with the same outfit.

What better reason to collaborate is there!?

If you are questioning the recent comeback of the two-piece set, ponder no further. I will admit this was a bit of a splurge for me, but it’s return is well worth the cost.

 

What initially drew me to the set was the pattern on the fabric. It has simple shapes of moons and pops of pink that catch the eye. But what REALLY latched me on to this look was the details on the sleeves! Shoulder cut outs make up most of my closet at this point, and I fell in love with the star overlay on the top. I also adore the peasant-like cuffs, they’re such a unique detail!

I’ve gotta be honest, when I tried on this outfit I was CERTAIN it wasn’t going to fit. I’m afflicted with the tall girl complex that has me believing clothes are never long enough for me. But to my fellow high flying females, this one’s a go! I’m seated just below 6′ for reference, and I was down right giddy to find a pair of pants that flattered my long legs.

Lastly, the cost might be a little higher, but you get 3 easy outfits in one. Because who ever said you have to wear both at once!? Below I styled the pants with a black bodysuit for an easy classy look. This is perfect for going out. Actually now I’m regretting not wearing this that evening because my jeans ripped when I was dancing… (stretchy pants=more moves!)
