Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundations | Review

Hey loves! I’m crazy thrilled to start a new venture by reviewing on my site. I’m going to share my thoughts on all things beauty, clothing, accessories, restaurants, products, experiences, etc. and would love to do one for you! Let’s get started! Below are reviews of Make Up For Ever‘s Ultra HD Liquid and Stick Foundations. I tried these products on separately to see how they apply and wear throughout the day.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Liquid Foundation

Details: This liquid foundation is a lightweight formula intended to provide a natural finish. They come in a range of 40 shades so you can find a perfect match for your skin and daily routine.

Application: After applying Dr. Brandt’s Pore Refiner Primer, I put one pump of the Ultra HD Liquid Foundation (R250 Beige Nude) on the back of my hand. Using Real Technique’s Expert Face Brush, I began applying the foundation at my jawline with strokes downward, and worked my way up. Halfway through I ran out of product, and had to use another pump of foundation to finish. I focused on blending throughout my face with special focus under my eyes. Check out my application video below!

Reaction: During initial application I loved the formula. I personally try to stray away from products that are too thick, and prefer more of a natural look. The color matched perfectly with my skin, and I was extremely happy with the results. Although my skin felt great, the light formula did not last all day. I would compare the results closer to a CC cream rather than a liquid foundation. Overall I recommend this product for those (like myself) who prefer natural coverage that allows the skin to breathe! Get yours here!

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Stick Foundation

Details: This stick foundation glides on to provide a seamless look. The creamy texture gives medium to full coverage to get you photo ready for the day.

Application: After using Dr. Brandt’s Pore Refiner Primer, I started applying the Ultra HD Stick Foundation (125= Y315 Sand) by stroking the product directly onto the center of my face and working outward. I then used Real Technique’s Expert Face Brush to blend the creamy formula in. Continuing by making bold strokes downward, I focused on creating a full coverage look.

Reaction: As I described before, I typically like to use lighter foundations. The stick foundation is a much thicker formula than I am used to, so I was interested to see it’s results. After applying, I was very happy with how the product seamlessly blended with my skin color. It didn’t look or feel caked on, and the coverage was spectacular. This formula held it’s own and stayed intact throughout the day. In the evening, I did have to find a napkin to dab my face, which was result of my skin being naturally oily. I would absolutely recommend this product daily for dry to moderate skin types. It is also perfect for a night out, photo shoot, or any time you need full lasting coverage. Get yours here!
